A major fringe benefit for me during my visit to Middlebury College was getting to watch Project Bandaloop, an aerial dance troupe who spent a week in residence as they rehearsed and performed during ceremonies to dedicate the new library. This amazing group of artist/athletes uses rock-climbing gear and techniques to perform choreographed pieces to musical accompaniment on the face of buildings and in natural settings such as El Capitan. I also saw them perform on the Dave Letterman show from the top and on the face of the skyscraper in New York City.
